By creating an account or using ButterflyResume (“the Service”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.
ButterflyResume is a resume-building and job-matching tool that uses AI to help users tailor their resumes to job postings. The Service includes a free tier and a paid “Sprint” plan that unlocks AI-powered features for 90 days from the date of purchase.
You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials. You must be at least 13 years old to use the Service. You may not share your account with others.
The Sprint plan is a one-time payment of $47 USD (or equivalent in CAD). All sales are final. We do not offer refunds except where required by applicable law. Sprint access expires 90 days after purchase and does not auto-renew.
You retain ownership of all resume content, job postings, and other data you upload. By using the Service, you grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service. We do not sell or share your resume data with third parties.
The Service uses AI to generate suggestions, rewrites, and interview questions. AI output may contain errors or inaccuracies. You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all AI-generated content before using it in job applications.

The Service is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. We are not liable for job application outcomes, hiring decisions, or any indirect damages arising from use of the Service. Our maximum liability to you is limited to the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months prior to any claim.
You may delete your account at any time from the Settings page. Deletion permanently removes all your data from our systems within 30 days, subject to legal retention requirements.
We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms. We will notify active users of material changes by email.
